  1. In Claude, open Customize › Connectors, then + Add › Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Luala, paste luala.app/mcp and click Continue. Keep the sign-in settings Claude finds and click Add.
  3. Sign in to Luala when Claude asks and click Allow.
  4. In a chat, turn Luala on under + › Connectors.

Works on every plan; the Free plan takes one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it for everyone.

ChatGPT

  1. On chatgpt.com, open Plugins, click + and choose Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Luala, paste luala.app/mcp under Connection and set the sign-in to OAuth.
  3. Accept the warning and click Create as a plugin.
  4. Open the plugin, click + to install it, then sign in to Luala and click Allow.
  5. In a new chat, type @ and pick Luala.

On the web only. Whether you can add a custom MCP server depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace.

Claude Code

  1. Run this in a terminal: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user luala https://luala.app/mcp
  2. In Claude Code, run /mcp, pick luala and sign in.

Cursor

  1. Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, inside mcpServers: "luala": { "url": "https://luala.app/mcp" }
  2. In Cursor's settings, find luala under MCP and sign in when it asks.

Your assistant can

  • Look through the packs and their options
  • Start a shoot from your saved selfies, up to the price it named
  • Edit, zoom into and upscale your photos
  • Show you the photos in the chat

Your assistant can't

Buy credits, delete photos or touch your selfies.

Disconnect it any time in Settings › Connected assistants.

Questions

Do I need a Luala account?

Not to look through the packs. To shoot, your assistant asks you to sign in to Luala once, and the photos are made from the selfies you saved in the app.

What does it cost?

The same as in the app: 5 credits a photo. Your assistant names the price before every shoot and can't spend more than that.

Which assistants work?

Claude on any plan (the Free plan takes one custom connector), Claude Code, Cursor and any other app that adds MCP servers by URL. ChatGPT works on the web, where your plan or workspace lets you add a custom MCP server.

How do I disconnect it?

In Luala, open Settings › Connected assistants and tap the cross next to it. Shoots it already started still finish.

What happens to my selfies?

They stay in your account until you delete them, one at a time or with your whole account. If you don't sign in for 24 months and have no plan running, we delete your account and your selfies with it, and email you 30 days before. We use them to make your photos and to check them for abuse, and never to train AI models. Privacy policy
