About this shoot

Hard flash is one bulb pointed straight at you, a bare wall and no smile. Every crease and every shadow stays in, and that is the look. It takes a photographer who owns the flash, or one direct flash on the camera and a lot of nerve.

Pick all black, a leather jacket, a red blazer or double denim, and a wall: white, concrete or red paper. The shadow lands behind you in every shot.

How is this different from the Y2K pack?

Y2K is a party in the early 2000s, with a point-and-shoot flash at a house party or the mall. Hard flash is a fashion shoot: one wall, one flash and a straight face.

Can I smile in them?

What do I need to start?

What happens to my selfies?

They stay in your account until you delete them, one at a time or with your whole account. If you don't sign in for 24 months and have no plan running, we delete your account and your selfies with it, and email you 30 days before.
