Which format to pick
JPG opens everywhere and keeps photos small. PNG keeps every pixel and see-through parts, so screenshots and logos stay sharp. WebP is what most websites serve now: smaller than a JPG of the same photo, and it can be see-through too.
Pick the format, drop your photos, and each comes back with the same name and the new ending: holiday.webp becomes holiday.jpg. Your browser does the converting, on this device.
Questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Your browser converts them on this device. They aren't sent to Luala or anywhere else.
What happens to see-through parts?
PNG and WebP keep them. A JPG can't be see-through, so they turn white; pick PNG to keep them.
Do I lose quality?
PNG keeps every pixel. JPG and WebP are saved at high quality and full size, so a photo looks the same; a screenshot with fine text stays sharpest as PNG.
What about animated GIFs and WebPs?
You get the first frame as a still photo.
How many photos can I convert at once?
As many as you choose. They're converted one after another, and once two are done you can download them all as one zip.
What happens to the location and camera details?
They're left out. A photo from here carries the picture only, not where or when it was taken or on which phone.
